Bottlenose dolphins are commonly seen in the Matanzas River and ocean, and are known to be playful animals.  Dolphins can be seen year-round in Florida due to the state's mild climate. Some say that the best time to see dolphins is between 10 AM and noon, and from 2 PM till dusk. Others say that dolphins are most active in Florida during the peak season from April to September, when the waters are warm and food is abundant. However, we will use our experience in the inlet to try and find them.
